Roland S. Persson, MFA, PhD, FCollT

Dr. Persson, a former concert pianist turned psychologist, is assigned to the Human Resources Programme in the field of Psychology, belongs to the ENCELL Research Group of the university and emphasises the importance of communicating science and its results to the surrounding community. He has thus far initiated research projects into musical communication and learning; into the understanding of giftedness and talent in the various levels of education systems; into gender roles and the measurement of its constructs; into ability climates in Europe and has of late also launched more theoretical studies of the individual, society, work, organisations and the significance of social evolution.  

Dr. Persson is Fellow of the College of Teachers, London, England, and is also affiliated with the British Psychological Society, the American Psychological Association, World Council for Gifted and Talented Children, Human Behavior and Evolution Society and the International Centre for Innovation in Education (ICIE).

He has been consultant to the Swedish and Hungarian government on matters of talent and giftedness as well as to a variety of school authorities and talent management strategists.
