Ken Reimer

Dr. Ken Reimer has had a rewarding twenty-four year career in Canada’s public school system, where he has held positions as a mainstream, special education, and resource teacher; guidance counsellor; and administrator in five different schools in two divisions. Ken, who holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Manitoba, currently serves as Principal of Luxton School in the Winnipeg School Division. His primary research interests have focused on inclusive special education, classroom behaviour, school leadership, innovation, creativity, educational policy, universal design, graduation rates, at-risk learners, making authentic connections, think tanks, and teacher collaboration. A Past President of the Manitoba Council for Exceptional Children, Ken has taught courses at the University of Winnipeg, the University of Manitoba, and North-Caucasus Federal University (Russia), and presented papers at several provincial, national, and international conferences.
